Daniel Sternsher, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design
Biography
Daniel Sternsher serves as assistant professor of graphic design. He holds a B.S. (1989) in technology design and M.Ed. (1998) in learning design from Bowling Green State University–College of Technology. Beyond his teaching duties in design, digital photography, and digital imaging he stays current with industry trends by providing marketing, photography, visual merchandising, and design consultation for several clients. With more than 20 years of experience, he has worked for a wide variety of clientele creating various marketing collateral pieces and annual reports, designing packaging and effective visual merchandising strategies, and providing commercial photography services. Professor Sternsher has also developed several training programs while providing marketing and sales training for corporate clients. His photographic light modifier design was awarded patent number 5,154,503 and is currently produced and marketed by the F.J. Westcott Company. He has played a key role in expanding curricular offerings in the art and design programs by developing minors in Creative Web Design and Digital Photography. Additionally, he serves as the faculty advisor for the Cedarville University AIGA Student Group, co-advises the Cedarville Photography Club, supervises the student photography studio, and is a member of AIGA, PIEA, and PMA. He resides in the cornfields of Clinton County near Clarksville, Ohio with his wife and daughter where he is active as a certified NRA firearms instructor, a 4H Shooting Sports advisor and instructor, and as a member of Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington. Professor Sternsher has been at Cedarville since 2001.
