We believe that the studio art program not only provides the core for the entire visual arts program which includes thriving graphic design and industrial and innovative design majors, but also nourishes the university community and the studio art major by providing a traditional visual arts education encouraging critical thinking, developing intellectual pursuit, and engaging in culture.

With an emphasis on traditional training and competence in drawing, painting, and design our students are challenged by caring, professional artists to become working artists, teachers, and communicators who impact their communities by pursuing a God-honoring life.
