Biography

Before coming to Cedarville, Dr. Ebert taught Bible and theology at a Christian liberal arts college in Florida. Prior to that, he and his wife were missionaries in Asia, working primarily in church leadership development. Along with theology, Dr. Ebert teaches world religions and various New Testament courses. His driving passion is for the Church and its mission in the world. On campus, he serves as the faculty advisor for Rusul Salaam (“Peacemakers”), a student organization that engages with Muslims. He recently published a book on the doctrine of Christ titled, Wisdom Christology: How Jesus Becomes God’s Wisdom for Us.

Interests

  • A favorite past time is eating out with my wife or a group of students at ethnic restaurants.
  • I enjoy fishing (in Ohio, but especially in Florida!).
  • Visiting foreign places is high on my list (I have grandkids in three different countries).
