Biography

Dr. Smith hails from Northern Maine and has crisscrossed the eastern states during his educational and vocational pursuits. He has served as professor and administrator at three Christian colleges and as a pastor for nine years. Dr. Smith’s dissertation was on Gnosticism and was published as No Longer Jews: The Search for Gnostic Origins. His more recent research and publications have focused on Ignatius of Antioch and his significance in early Christianity. His passion is church history and historical theology, particularly in the Patristic Era.
