Dr. Thorsell has served in the pastoral ministry and several teaching positions prior to joining the faculty of Cedarville University. He is active in the Evangelical Theological Society, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the American Academy of Religion and has presented papers at regional and national meetings. His most recent research interests are in the areas of Friedrich Schleiermacher’s theology, early modern theologies, and original sin. He has a chapter in a book coming out in Spring 2015 on original sin and Genesis 3.
