Mark McClain (Associate Academic Vice President)
Dr. Mark McClain, associate academic vice president, serves as the dean for the college of professions. Dr. McClain joined Cedarville University in August 1996 as assistant professor of chemistry and most recently served as associate dean for lifelong learning and international programs.
Dr. McClain's experience includes two years of post-doctoral research at Sandia National Laboratories, 15 years of teaching at Cedarville University, and six years of academic program management. He has been a senior research associate of the National Research Council and AFRL summer faculty fellow.
Dr. McClain holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from Cedarville University.

Karen Calvert
Karen Calvert began serving as the Dean's Assistant for the College of Professions, in 2003. She has also worked with the Social Work Program and the department of English, literature, and modern lanuages as the administrative assistant. She has been with CU since June, 1997. She and her husband Jim live in Xenia and attend Patterson Park Church in Beavercreek. They have two grown children, Ethan and Kristen, and four adorable grandchildren.
