Care of Children

NSG-3030

Focus is on common physiological imbalances of infants, children and adolescents and the nursing care required to restore or promote physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual health. Special emphasis is given to the application of growth and developmental theories in the provision of developmentally-appropriate care to the pediatric population. Students gain increasing independence in professional nursing role development as providers and coordinators of care.
