Mission Statement

The mission of the Cedarville University Teacher Education Program is to prepare compassionate professional educators committed to the integration of faith, learning, and life as demonstrated in teaching competence and Christ-like character through leadership and service.

For more than 100 years, Cedarville has been preparing educators who serve as classroom teachers and administrators in public, private, and Christian schools around the world. This historical presence and the outstanding reputation of our graduates have positioned Cedarville as a leader in teacher education.

Another hallmark of Cedarville's education program is the emphasis on practical experience. By spending more than 600 hours in actual classrooms at both Christian and public schools, you will feel confident and equipped to lead a classroom of your own when you graduate. You will also be thoroughly prepared to use technology as you observe and learn from Cedarville professors who integrate technology into every education class. Of course, you will have many opportunities to practice your own integration of technology as part of your clinical teaching experiences.
