Biography

Dr. Yao serves as associate professor of electrical engineering. He earned his B.S. from National Chiao-Tung University, M.S. from National Taiwan University, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park. Dr. Yao joined Cedarville University in 2009 after holding faculty positions at the University of Texas and San Jose State University. He also served as consultant, technical, and management staff for various companies in the semiconductor industry, where he participated in designing several wired and wireless communication chips. His areas of expertise include RF/microwave integrated circuit design, wireless transceiver design, and error correction coding.
