Emily Ferkaluk, Assistant Professor of Political Science


Dr. Emily Ferkaluk teaches courses in political philosophy and American politics. Her primary research interests include a study of Alexis de Tocqueville's discussion of American religion, politics, and penal institutions; the theme of motherhood and politics; and questions of constitutional law. She is currently working on a manuscript translation and interpretation of On the Penitentiary System in the United States and Its Application to France, by Alexis de Tocqueville and Gustave de Beaumont.
