Upon admission, the program the office of international programs will need:

That depends on your spending habits. If you are planning on buying clothes or traveling a lot, you are going to want to have more spending money available. We don’t recommend carrying large amounts of cash with you. It is better to bring a debit card and take out money from ATMs as you need it. Make sure you talk to your bank before you leave, to let them know you’ll be out of the country and ask them about any fees you need to be aware of.
Beautiful! You’re on a Mediterranean coastal city, which means the spring and summer will likely be in the 70s or 80s (F). The fall and winter will be on the cooler side, so be sure to bring clothes that you can layer and at least one jacket.
Clothes for layering! The weather will often fluctuate, being cold in the mornings, hot in the afternoons, and cooling down again in the evenings. You will want sweaters and a jacket. Jeans are always a good idea, and ladies will want skirts or dresses for when it gets hot in the summer.
Yes. Laptops make communication very simple, as all of our host homes are equipped with wireless Internet. Also, much of the program communication comes via email and Facebook, so you will want to make sure you have regular access to a computer.
You may, but your accommodations will be your responsibility for any dates before or after the program dates. Often times students do decide to stay and do some traveling after the program ends, but any extra nights will not be included, and you will need to make alternate plans.
You will participate in an orientation program upon arrival. This includes information you will need about your classes, a tour of the city, introduction to the people at the institute that you will be interacting with, and cultural information you may find useful. It ends with a delicious Spanish meal where you may ask questions and get to know everyone.
