Molecular Biology of the Cell

BIO-4300

Study of the molecules which make up the living cell with emphasis on nucleic acid biology and protein biology. Other topics include origin of life, abiogenesis, and a historical analysis of the discovery of DNA and proteins. Prerequisites: BIO-1100 Introduction to Cell Biology; and CHEM-3510 Organic Chemistry.
