Greg taught in the Xenia Community Schools for 30 years, first as a music teacher and later as a librarian. He now serves as Collection Services Librarian and Director of the DigitalCommons, Cedarville’s institutional repository. He is active in music in the Dayton area, serving as the organist at his church and singing in the Bach Society of Dayton with his wife, Debbie. He also plays the Great Highland Bagpipe and is a member of the Miami Valley Pipes and Drums, where he serves as the tutor for beginning pipers. He is also a reviewer of children's and young adult literature for Library Media Connection magazine.
