In 2012, Technical communicators/writers ranked #45 on CNN’s best jobs in America with a 10 year growth rate of 17.2%. The 2010 median salary was $63,280. Cedarville’s technical-communication students have obtained positions at such prestigious companies as IBM, Proctor and Gamble, and Nationwide Insurance.

The Technical and Professional Communication (TPC) major prepares students for positions in various technical communication positions. These positions include the following:

Our technical-communication faculty teaches students to use technology and creativity to take technical information and make it usable, all from a Christ-centered perspective.

Professional Development

Not only do our students learn skills in writing, design, project management, critical thinking, and creativity, they apply these skills in a variety of projects and professional interactions. Students also gain experience through client projects and internships. Students leave the technical communication program prepared to design content for many different mediums.
