Biography

Professor Wilkins serves as the choral music student teaching supervisor, faculty advisor for NAfME, and Elementary Music Education Methods instructor. She retired from the public school system in 2008 after 31 years of teaching vocal and general music. The last 25 years of her career with the Northeastern Local Schools were focused on grades 6-12, serving as the Director of Choral Music at Kenton Ridge High School and Northridge Middle School. In 2000, Mrs. Wilkins was honored to receive the Clark County Excellence in Teaching Award.

Interests

  • A veteran musical theatre performer, she has sang and acted her way through over 50-plus musicals! Some of her favorite roles include Mrs. Lovett (in Sweeney Todd); Miss Hannigan (in Annie), Meg (in Brigadoon) and Abigail Adams (in 1776).
  • She has been directing musical productions since 1982, serving as both drama and musical director.
