Purpose

All students who desire to pursue a music degree at Cedarville University must complete an audition in their primary performance area. The audition provides the music faculty with an opportunity to measure your potential success as a music major and to determine whether you will be admitted to the department to pursue a music degree. To be eligible for scholarships, you must audition no later than our last scheduled audition date.

Eligibility

Students who wish to audition must fulfill the following requirements prior to the audition:

• Completed junior year of high school
• Submitted admissions application to Cedarville University
• Declared music as their major
• Intend to complete a music degree at Cedarville
• Hold a GPA of at least 3.0
• Received an ACT score of at least 21 or equivalent SAT score

All music programs within the Department of Music and Worship are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
