Dr. Parrill has practiced nursing as a ministry for Christ within the public health specialty. She has had experience with public health efforts at the local, regional, and global level. She is particularly interested in the role nurses can have in strengthening the holistic health of communities. Her research interests include strategies for improving public health nursing education, best practices for eliminating health disparities, and community partnerships to improve health conditions
