Marc Sweeney


Dr. Sweeney served in faculty and administrative positions at prestigious pharmacy schools before becoming the first dean of Cedarville University’s School of Pharmacy in 2008. A certified palliative care specialist, his responsibilities have included palliative care, oncology, home care, long term care, ambulatory care, and community pharmacy. Dr. Sweeney has researched, published and presented on drug interactions, pharmacy practice, education, and patient safety, receiving more than $400,000 in grant support. Dr. Sweeney has also been active in and honored by a number of professional organizations, including the Ohio Pharmacists Association, where he served as president in 2004–05.
