Biography

I am a P1 originally from Irvine, CA. Everyone always asks me why I decided to come to Cedarville because there is “nothing to do here”. A small town can be just as exciting as a booming metropolis – you just have to make the most of where you are and what you have. Some of the opportunities I was lucky enough to be a part of while Cedarville University include HeartSong Ministries, SGA music, and leading a Spring Break mission trip to Chicago. I’ve also been more recently involved as a member of APhA-ASP and a musician at School of Pharmacy events. During the summers since 2009, I’ve worked as a pharmacy associate at Farmacia Santa. This summer, I will work there again as a pharmacy intern. Upon graduating, I hope to become a community pharmacist serving in the inner city.

Why Cedarville?

I consider my undergraduate years at Cedarville the most molding experience of my life. The influence of CU’s student community has constantly reminded me that what I do doesn’t define me. I believe that God brought me here because I was on the fence of my faith. With a strong spiritual formation, Cedarville has made me realize that pharmacy is just the tool God gave me with to serve Him by serving others. If you too are considering a profession where you will be equipped to serve God through quality patient care, look no further!

Advice

Pick a major that thoroughly interests you. Don’t worry about what anyone but you thinks. One of the worst things you can do is invest 7 years of your life only to find out that you hate being a pharmacist. Pharmacy school can be grueling, but if patient-care and science are things that excite you, you will love it.
