Michael Firmin, Professor of Psychology

Biography

Dr. Michael Firmin has served as a full-time psychology faculty member since 1988. He serves as Editor for the Journal of Ethnographic and Qualitative Research (JEQR) and directs the 27th Annual Ethnographic and Qualitative Research (EQRC) Conference and the 18th American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences (AABSS) Conference. Dr. Firmin has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented over 150 papers in national, juried research conferences. He has a part-time private practice in forensic and clinical psychology. Dr. Firmin is an award-winning classroom instructor and serves as a peer-reviewer and team chair for accreditation site team visits for North Central Association’s Higher Learning Commission.
