Complex Variables

MATH-3740

Introduction to complex arithmetic, differentiation: analytic functions, Cauchy- Riemann equations, harmonic functions, elementary functions and their mapping properties, integration: Cauchy's Theorem, Cauchy's Integral Formula, Taylor and Laurent series, poles, residues, and the residue theorem. Prerequisite: MATH-1720 Calculus II.
