My Bio

  • "If I were a CU student...": I would find ways to get involved in the areas where I can practice what I'm learning. In my degree areas, I would serve others with those skills and build a nice resume of volunteer work. In my Bible classes, I would find a ministry where I can invest in the lives of others and apply the incredible biblical education that we have here at Cedarville. I wouldn't want to leave here with increased head knowledge about Christ without it influencing my life. Another thing I would do is take a notebook to chapel. There is so much incredible stuff to learn in chapel; I would take notes so I wouldn't lose it all.
  • What is something that would surprise others about you:I lived in Zimbabwe for 12 years.
  • Best restaurant in the area: Williams Eatery and Gathering Place in Yellow Springs
  • What sets Cedarville apart from other colleges and universities: It's a safe place. Great campus security, yes; but you'll also be surrounded by other believers who, like you, want to grow in their faith and learn how to be independent adults. Some of my friends at other schools went with a desire to be a light for Christ and left with regrets or having walked away from their faith. When you come here, you aren't just left on your own. There are professors and staff who are living lives of example, who pour into your life. You can learn to be an adult with a model to follow after! Cedarville is a place where you will leave after four years not just ready to take on the world but also transformed into a better person.
  • Word or phrase that best describes you: Jovial
  • How long have you worked at CU: I am in my second year.
  • Hometown: Berrien Springs, Michigan
  • Degree: Bachelor of Arts in electronic media audio production, Cedarville University
  • Best place to visit around Cedarville: I love Cedar Cliff Falls. It's a great place to see a waterfall but also to go trail-running along the gorge.

Life is full of decisions that, whether we realize it or not, influence us for the rest of our lives. Originally I came to Cedarville, just because my brothers came here first. Little did I know how much of an impact this school would have on me. Arriving here I was challenged academically and spiritually, and have grown into a very different person than I was beforehand. Going to college is so much more than getting an education that will lead to a job.

If you're looking for a place that will give you more than just a high quality education, then Cedarville might be a great option for you. At Cedarville they cater programs, to grow you spiritually and socially as well. You won't just learn how to be a business professional, but also a person who can study the Word of God and apply it to your daily life at home and in the workplace. I loved my time here at the 'Ville and wouldn't trade the experiences I had here for anything. If there are any questions you have about Cedarville, or, if there is any way I can help you out as you work through making your college decision, I'd love to talk to you!
