Cultural Celebration Party

As a member of the Student Government Association's Student Relations Committee (SRC), I have the privilege of helping plan exciting events for the student body. Earlier this semester, the SRC sponsored a Cultural Celebration Party. As a committee, we cooked all different types of cultural food including Tostones, Haitian Pork, Amarillos, Orange Chicken, Taco Soup, Matza Ball Soup, Hungarian Goulash, Chicken over Asian Noodles, and Meetballs.
The entire event had a café type feel. While people were eating, they enjoyed jazz, Spanish, R&B, and African Beat music. At the end of the party, we did choreographed dancing to the Cupid Shuffle and the Cleveland Shuffle.
This event was great because the student body had a chance to fellowship together and to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, complimented by good food and good music. It was great to see people having such a great time and enjoying the break from our busy lives. Here are some pictures from this awesome event.
