Homecoming 2013 is October 4–5. Below is a schedule of events for the weekend. Events may be added or changed so be sure to check back frequently!

Friday, October 4

Check-in Central will be open in the upper level of the Stevens Student Center from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. on Friday, October 4, and from 8 a.m.–7 p.m. on Saturday, October 5. Make sure you stop by to pick up your tickets, get your special nametag, and perhaps make a last-minute registration for that reunion you almost missed out on.

Every day at 10 a.m. You remember when and where ... don’t you? Attend our special homecoming chapel in the Dixon Ministry Center Jeremiah Chapel to meet the 10th President of Cedarville University. This event is free and open to the public.

The All-Alumni Luncheon is simply that — a luncheon for any and all alumni! This is a come-and-go event that provides an opportunity to interact with alumni council members as well as our 2013 alumni award recipients. This buffet lunch will be held on Friday, October 4 from 12–2 p.m. in the Event Rooms of the Stevens Student Center. Tickets are required for this event.

Creating a College Financial Plan (Admissions Workshop)

If you are wondering how students fund their Cedarville University education, be sure to come to this presentation from 2 – 2:45 p.m. on Friday, October 4, in the Stevens Student Center, Room 244. Everything you want to know about financing an education at Cedarville University will be explained and displayed in this highly practical and informative presentation by Roscoe Smith, Director of Admissions. This event is free and open to the public.

Cardboard Canoe Race
Cedar Lake
 
Imagine competing in a boat race that requires you to build a boat using only 40 feet of cardboard and 100 meters of packing tape. Then imagine having to take two engineers plus one passenger all the way across the lake on that boat. That's exactly what this year's freshman class of engineers will do during Homecoming Weekend. Hosted by the Elmer W. Engstrom Department of Engineering and Computer Science, this year’s race will take place on October 4 at 3 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Art and Design Reunion

The Department of Art, Design, and Theatre is hosting a reunion on Friday, October 4 at 4 p.m. for former art and design majors. Registration is requested for this event; tickets are complimentary.

School of Business Forum
 
The school of business administration is hosting an alumni forum in the Lobby and Room 103 of the Apple Technology Resource Center on Friday, October 4 at 4 p.m. All current and former business students are welcome to attend. Registration is required for this event; tickets are complimentary.

Chi Theta Pi Medical/Dental Forum and Dinner

The school of natural and applied sciences, in conjunction with the student organization Chi Theta Pi, is hosting a forum on Friday, October 4, 2013, at 4:30 p.m., specifically engaging those alumni currently working in the medical and dental fields. Following the forum, there will be a dinner for alumni and current students studying in these fields. Both the forum and dinner will be located in BTS 102/103. Registration is required for this event; tickets are complimentary.

Legacy Banquet (by invitation only)
 
The Legacy Banquet is a special event in thankful recognition of those who financially support the University through the Cedarville Society, The Gibson Society, and the Legacy Circle. This evening provides an opportunity for fellowship with others who share a heart for giving and with students who personally benefit from those who generously give. This event is by invitation only.

The All-Alumni Dessert Reception is open to all alumni, family, and friends! This is a come-and-go event that provides an opportunity to interact with other alumni who have returned for homecoming while enjoying some delicious desserts! This event will be held on Friday, October 4 from 6–8 p.m. in the Center for Biblical and Theological Studies. Tickets are required for this event.

Former members of the men's varsity soccer team are invited back to participate in an informal soccer game on Friday, October 4 at 7 p.m. at the Yellow Jacket Soccer Complex. Homecoming Prism of Praise Concert

Held in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center on Friday, October 4 at 8 p.m., the Prism of Praise Concert features most of the Department of Music and Worship’s vocal and instrumental groups, as well as performances by music faculty. This event is free and open to the public.

Elvin R. King Cross Country Course
 
The annual 5K race is held on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course on Saturday, October 5. Check-in for the race opens at the course at 7:30 a.m. and includes a light breakfast. The race kicks off at 8 a.m. Participants will receive a complimentary homecoming T-shirt. Runners of all ages are welcome to take part. Registration is required for this event.

The Department of Kinesiology and Allied Health is hosting a coffee reception for all former exercise and sport science, kinesiology, and allied health majors. This event will be held in Callan Athletic Center in Room 219 on Saturday, October 5 at 8:30 am. Registration is required for this event; tickets are complimentary.

Provide and Protect Estate Planning Seminar

The gift planning office is hosting a free estate planning seminar and continental breakfast. The seminar will teach you the basics of estate planning using our online wills planner. This event will be held on Saturday, October 5 at 8:30 a.m. in the Center for Biblical and Theological Studies Room 101. Registration is required for this event; tickets are complimentary.

After the parade on Saturday morning, be sure to make your way to the Lakeside Plaza outside the Stevens Student Center from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for an all-alumni party! We'll have food, games for the kids, and an all-around good time. Registration is not required for this event.

The Department of History and Government is hosting a table during CU by the Lake. All current and former history and government students are welcome to stop by and see former professors and catch up on the program.
