Cardboard Canoe Race

We all love watching the boat race that requires aspiring engineers to paddle boats made of only cardboard and packing tape. Hosted by the Elmer W. Engstrom Department of Engineering and Computer Science, this year’s race is sure to provide enjoyment for the whole family.

Held in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center, the annual Praise Concert features most of the Department of Music and Worship’s vocal and instrumental groups, as well as performances by music faculty. This event is free and open to the public.

5K Race

Saturday | 7 a.m. Evlin King Cross Country Course

The annual 5K race is held on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course on Saturday, October 3. Check-in for the race opens at the course at 7 a.m. and includes alight breakfast. The race kicks off at 8 a.m. Participants will receive a complimentary homecoming T-shirt. Runners of all ages are welcome to take part. Registration is required for this event.

Homecoming Parade

Saturday | 9 a.m. Main Street, Cedarville

This event is a weekend highlight. Stroll on down to Main Street in Cedarville and enjoy the costumes, floats, corvettes, and free candy that come with the Homecoming Parade!

CU by the Lake

Saturday | 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lakeside Plaza

After the parade on Saturday morning, be sure to make your way to the Lakeside Plaza for an all-alumni party! This event features several class and academic reunion tents, as well as food, games for the kids, and an all-around good time. Complimentary admission wristbands will be given at Homecoming registration. Activity tickets can be purchased at the event.

The Heritage Alumni and Jeremiah Society Dessert is for Cedarville alumni and friends who were associated with the University during the Presbyterian era, as well as those who have surpassed their 50-year reunion. This dessert reception will be held on Friday, October 2, from 2 - 3 p.m. in the President's Dining Room of the Stevens Student Center. Complimentary tickets are required for this event.
