Biography
Dr. Michael Firmin has been a professor for 15 years at Cedarville University and previously served at Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania for 10 years as Graduate Studies Director. He earned a B.A. in Bible/pastoral ministry as well as a seminary master's and Ph.D. degree. He has served as pastor of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, pastoral counselor at Heritage Baptist Church, and interim pastor for seven churches in Connecticut and Ohio. At Cedarville, Michael is known as a popular communicator, having received multiple teaching awards, and he brings strong preaching skills from God's Word to the Sunday pulpit.
Sermon Topics
Michael preaches both expository and topical sermons, having the Bible as the center to all preaching. Among popular topical series, “Help for Times When God Isn’t Fair,” “Growing in Wisdom from Proverbs,” “Biblical Perspectives Toward Emotions,” and “Resolving Personal Conflicts with Others” have been particularly practical to church members.
