Students travel to several organizations located in the midwestern and eastern states to serve in various ministry opportunities including inner-city exposure trips, youth and children's ministries, work teams, or serving the physically / mentally disabled.
|Inner City Impact
||Minister to children in inner city Chicago through tutoring and assisting in the classroom at a nearby Christian school during the day. Participate in Bible clubs and other activities during the evening.
|John M. Perkins Foundation
||Gain a better understanding of Biblical reconciliation as you join various work projects at the Perkins Center and also learn about the civil rights movement and the role John Perkins and his family played.
||Students have the opportunity to build relationships & serve alongside adults with developmental disabilities.
||As an expression of Christ’s love, SOS seeks to empower persons and transform neighborhoods by utilizing volunteers to renovate the homes of economically disadvantaged homeowners in Memphis, TN. We provide these services through our home repair camps for Jr. and Sr. High youth, college students, and adults. SOS works in two impoverished inner-city neighborhoods in Memphis: Binghampton and Orange Mound. As an expression of Christ’s love, we seek to make homes in these neighborhoods warmer, safer and drier.
|Sunshine Gospel Ministries
||The goal of the Bridge Builders program is for participants to have an experience for themselves whereby they see the Gospel bridge racial, economic, and geographic divisions with their own eyes. Through workshop-style training, Bible study, media presentations, service, ministry site visits, and prayer, participants are encouraged to listen as God expresses His heart for the poor.
||Assist staff members who are involved in a church planting ministry in the urban community of Kensington.
