June 24-28, 2013
Music Camp combines a high-level musical academy experience with a week of summer fun. You'll study one-on-one with inspiring faculty mentors who are active concert performers. Besides challenging yourself to achieve a "personal best," you'll gain a new understanding of the arts as they relate to worship and your walk with God.
You will enjoy private instruction and master classes with top Cedarville music faculty. You will get a jump on the college music scene with theory instruction, rehearsals, and a recital. By the end of the week, you will have a clear sense of what it's like to study music at the university level.
Note: We are excited to offer two new tracks to this camp this year. The first track is Music Production and Technology. Students will be introduced to the art of recording and mixing. Each day will feature a recording session and classroom training in Cedarville University's Computer Music Lab. Students will record, edit, and mix a complete song during the week. The second track is Film Scoring. Students will be introduced to basic compositional techniques as well as current software applications to create music for film and other media. Each day will feature classroom instruction and composition time in the Music Computer Lab. Students will write a brief film score during the week. If you are interested in one of these specific tracks, it will cost an additional $100 to your registration.
On the final day of camp, you will have the opportunity to perform in a concert for family and friends.
