Mrs. Cindy Wingert, M.S. (Program Coordinator)

Cynthia Wingert

Mrs. Cynthia Wingert serves as an Assistant Professor of Biology. She graduated from Cedarville in 2001 with a B.A. in Biology and specialization in secondary education. Upon graduation from Cedarville, Cynthia returned to the University as a laboratory instructor for anatomy and physiology and biology labs for two years. She then went to Wright State University, where she received her M.S. in Anatomy and Physiology. She then returned to Cedarville in the fall of 2005 as a full-time faculty member. Her professional memberships include the American Association of Anatomists and the Association of Christian Schools International. Since returning to Cedarville, she has developed an advanced anatomy course with cadaver dissection, specifically designed for pre-medical students. She is an active member of Apex Community Church in Kettering, and enjoys being involved in her women's bible study. Her hobbies include gourmet cooking, long walks, and playing with her daughter Kaitlyn. 

Dr. Melissa Hartman

Dr. Melissa Hartman is a 1996 graduate of Cedarville. She earned her MD at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Spectrum Health / Butterworth in Grand Rapids, MI. After working a few years in an Emergency Department in Fort Wayne, IN, she left practice to return to her alma mater to coach the Lady Jacket’s Volleyball Team. Since then, she has joined Cedarville’s faculty as a full-time professor, teaching Anatomy & Physiology and serving as the one of the Pre-Med Advisors. To keep her hand in medicine, she occasionally moonlights at a local Emergency Department.
