Jeff Bolender

Jeff Bolender
Dir of Track & Field / Cross Country

Jeff Bolender has been at Cedarville University since 2001 and has been the head coach of the Yellow Jacket men's and women's track and field teams since the 2004 season. He was named the head women's cross country coach in December, 2009.

Bolender guided the Lady Jacket track and field squad to three consecutive NCCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships from 2007 through 2009, the 2007 outdoor title, and back-to-back American Mideast Conference crowns in 2008 and 2009. His 2007 women’s squad was the NAIA national outdoor runner-up plus he owns three NAIA Top 10 finishes indoors and two more outdoors.

The Yellow Jacket men claimed NCCAA indoor banners in 2006 and 2007 as well as the 2011 NCCAA outdoor and AMC titles. Cedarville also finished in the NAIA Top 10 twice indoors and once outdoors.

Bolender’s first women’s cross country team placed 10th in the NAIA in 2010. They were also the American Mideast Conference runner-up.

Mike Marsh

Asst Coach / Track & Cross Country

Mike Marsh returned to his alma mater as a full-time assistant track and field coach in 2010. He specializes in working with athletes in the multi-events with an emphasis on the pole vault, hurdles and javelin.

Marsh came to the Yellow Jackets from NCAA Division II Cal State Los Angeles where he served as an assistant coach during the 2009-10 season.. He was previously an assistant coach at perennial NAIA track and field power Azusa Pacific from 2002 through 2009 where he coached multiple All-Americans.

Marsh participated in track and field for the Yellow Jackets from 1999 through 2002. He was an NAIA Outdoor All-American in the decathlon, was the NCCAA champion in the event, and still holds the top six point totals in school history. He was an NAIA Indoor All-American in the pentathlon and owns CU top five all-time marks.

Marsh was ranked among the Top 20 decathletes in the United States from 2005 through 2009 and among the Top 75 in the world. He competed for USA vs. Germany in the 2009 Thorpe Cup.
