Head Coach, Women's Volleyball
Doug Walters has been the head volleyball coach at Cedarville University since 2008. The Lady Jackets have posted 137 victories during Walters’ six-year tenure. In the 2012 season, the Lady Jackets posted a 32-6 record in their first season as members of NCAA Division II. This marked the second-best season in program history. The Lady Jackets also won the 2012 & 2013 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship!
Walters also guided the program to its third NCCAA National Championship in 2008 and was selected as the NCCAA National Coach of the Year in that same season! The Lady Jackets have qualified for the postseason in every year of Coach Walters’ time at Cedarville. He has coached nine NCCAA All-Americans, one NCCAA National Tournament MVP, one NAIA National Player of the Week, seven NAIA Scholar-Athletes, one AMC Libero of the Year, one AMC Freshman of the Year, eight AMC All-Conference players, two All OIC players, one G-MAC Freshman of the Year, one G-MAC Player of the Year, nine G-MAC All-Conference players, and 15 All- NCCAA Midwest Region Players.
Walters came to Cedarville from Milford High School, where he coached for two seasons. Prior to Milford, Walters spent seven years building Eastern High School in Sardinia into one of the top Division III programs in Ohio. He was a four-time conference Coach of the Year and saw eight players continue their career at the collegiate level. Walters was also the founder and former Director of the Greater Miami Volleyball Club in Cincinnati. He now currently coaches with the Elevation Volleyball Club in Mason, Ohio, in addition to his duties at Cedarville.
