Doug Walters
Head Coach, Women's Volleyball
Doug Walters has been the head volleyball coach at Cedarville University since 2008. The Lady Jackets have posted 82 victories during Walters' four-year tenure. CU finished with a 22-18 mark in 2011 during the school’s NCAA Division II provisional year and was the No. 1 seed in the Ohio Independent Championship Tournament.
Walters' first season with the Lady Jackets was a memorable one as he guided the program to its third National Christian College Athletic Association title in four years. He was tabbed the 2008 NCCAA National Coach of the Year. The Lady Jackets have continued to qualify for the postseason every year of Coach Walters’ time at Cedarville. He has coached six NCCAA All-Americans, one NCCAA National Tournament MVP, one NAIA National Player of the Week, seven NAIA Scholar-Athletes, one AMC Libero of the Year, one AMC Freshman of the Year, eight AMC All-Conference players, two All OIC players, and 10 All-NCCAA Midwest Region players.
Walters came to Cedarville from Milford High School, where he coached for two seasons. Prior to Milford, Walters spent seven years building Eastern High School in Sardinia into one of the top Division III programs in Ohio. He was a four-time conference Coach of the Year and saw eight players continue their careers at the collegiate level. Walters was the founder and former director of the Greater Miami Volleyball Club in Cincinnati.
