Cedarville University invites applications to the Graduate Certificate in Global Public Health Nursing from nurses who:

  • Have a profession of faith in Jesus Christ
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree from a regionally accredited or otherwise approved university
  • Are currently enrolled in or have completed at least a Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degree
  • Hold a current unrestricted license as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States for clinical experience

Applicants must also affirm their commitment to the Cedarville covenant and agree to abide by the graduate student standards of conduct. Applicants should also review the University’s doctrinal statement to understand our beliefs and Christian heritage, which serves as the foundation for our community.

The School of Nursing faculty and University Admissions review the qualifications of each applicant on an individual basis. Applicants who present satisfactory evidence of their ability to perform at the graduate level are admitted to this graduate certificate nursing program.     Submit official college transcripts from all postsecondary institutions in which you have enrolled, even if no credit was earned. The transcript should indicate the degree conferred and the date granted, if applicable.

    Your application will be processed and reviewed by University Admissions as soon as all of the materials are received. In most cases you will be notified by letter within three weeks of the admissions decision. However, some applications may need extended time for review or follow-up. Is this graduate nursing certificate available in all 50 states?

Due to state and federal higher education regulations, Cedarville University has chosen not to accept applications from students residing in Alabama, Arkansas, Massachusetts, or Minnesota to enroll in online degree programs. This applies only to distance learning students residing in these four states. Students from all 50 states as well as international students are welcome to apply for any on-campus program.

How often are students admitted into the program?

New students are typically admitted fall (August), spring (January) and summer (May) semesters.

Do I need to submit my Cedarville University (or Cedarville College) transcripts?

No, Graduate Admissions will request your Cedarville transcripts from the Office of the Registrar.

Is an interview required?

No interview is required for this certificate program. An interview is required for admission to Cedarville's Master of Science in Nursing program.
