Concentration in Operations Management
Cedarville University now offers a concentration in Operations Management designed for engineers and other operational managers that are or will be responsible for the design, planning, control, coordination and improvement of business processes, systems and resources integral to the creation of the firm's products and services. Operations management graduates find career opportunities in engineering, consulting, manufacturing, distribution, retail, transportation, health care, and the public sector.
All M.B.A. students enroll in business core curriculum. Students in this concentration take nine credits of electives to complete the degree. However, instead of the standard statistics course in the business core, students pursuing the Operations Management concentration will take BUS-6300 Operations Research instead of BUS-6100 Managerial Data Analysis. Any M.B.A. student not pursuing this concentration is encouraged to consider taking one or more of these courses as an elective.
Students may select this concentration upon admission to the M.B.A. program or within the first semester or two. To officially add the concentration, work with your program advisor when you register for courses.
