In this course, the student is afforded the opportunity to apply the theoretical concepts of global health and vulnerable populations by working in a supervised health ministry setting that serves global, immigrant, refugee, or vulnerable populations. The practicum includes 200 hours in seminar and precepted experiences in which students will assess, analyze, and evaluate health ministry strategies to promote health and prevent disease in vulnerable populations. Prerequisites: NSG-6210 Global Health and Vulnerable Populations; NSG-6230 Population Based Health Care Management.
