Rachel Parrill, Associate Professor of Nursing
Dr. Parrill has practiced nursing as a ministry for Christ within the public health specialty. She has had experience with public health efforts at the local, regional, and global level. She is particularly interested in the role nurses can have in strengthening the holistic health of communities. Her research interests include faith-based strategies for improving public health nursing education, best practices for eliminating health disparities, and community partnerships to improve health conditions. She has had several articles published in scholarly journals and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Dr. Parrill has participated in several missions projects, both local and international.
Dr. Parrill joined the nursing faculty in 2005 and serves as the Global Public Health Nursing (GPHN) track coordinator.
