Business Administration
Position Description:
The School of Business Administration (SBA), in the College of Professions, invites applications for a ranked full-time tenured track position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Sport Management, beginning August 1, 2013.
Key responsibilities of this position include: (1) teaching courses across the Sports Management curriculum, program development and accreditation, (2) serving as a liaison within the SBA, (3) helping the institution further promote and expand the program, (4) developing a network of professional contacts and internship sites, (4) advising students, and (5) a commitment to University and community service.
Candidates will be expected to develop and pursue research consistent with the sport management field of study.
The SBA is ACBSP-accredited and is comprised of 14 full-time and 5 part-time faculty members serving more than 300 business majors and minors. The SBA offers programs in accounting, finance, global economics and international business, information technology management, management, marketing, and sport management, and is developing graduate programs.

Position Requirements:

A terminal degree (PhD, DBA, or Ed D) with a concentration in Sport Management/Administration

At least three years of successful teaching at the college or university level, and demonstrated practical experience in the field of sport management

Evidence of successful teaching in an online learning environment is a plus
