The School of Business Administration (SBA), in the College of Professions, invites applications for adjunct professors of business administration. The SBA is ACBSP-accredited and is comprised of 14 full-time and 5 part-time faculty members serving more than 300 business majors and minors. The SBA offers programs in accounting, finance, global economics and international business, information technology management, management, marketing, sport management and a graduate program.

Associate Director for Transfer and Dual Enrollment Recruitment · Admissions

Cedarville University is seeking to hire an Associate Director for Transfer and Dual Enrollment to actively recruit and provide leadership for prospective transfer, readmit, dual enrollment and non-degree students to the university. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Associate Vice President for University Admissions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Actively recruit transfer and dual enrollment students to the university
  • Actively serve spring, non-degree, rea-admit, transfer, dual enrollment and post-bac students
  • Oversee the student leadership program including maintaining the annual contract and hiring student interns
  • Assist in reviewing applications and following up with transfer and dual enrollment students

Prospect Research Analyst · Advancement 

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Prospect Research Analyst to provide strategic intelligence for the Advancement division in order to build a sustainable pipeline of donors. This position will provide prospect identification, prospect assignment, portfolio management, prospect research, constituent and data analysis and strategic guidance. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Prospect Development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gather, evaluate, maintain and disseminate information on prospective donors to identify and assess potential financial supporters
  • Conduct appropriate research for fundraising campaigns to include data mining and database segmentation
  • Analyze, code and report on data sets and database queries while maintaining donor and prospect files
  • Provide short biographical information for events and meetings attended by donors and prospects
  • Identify new prospects and learn more about current donors via sophisticated research method
  • Support prospect management activities related to managing and building prospect pipelines
  • Compile and prepare raw data in response to research requests in a timely manner
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of development officer portfolios
  • Regularly read fundraising journals, periodicals and news sources
  • Stay abreast of trends in related research and fundraising fields through membership and participation in appropriate professional organizations

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or possess the equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Possess an ability to communicate professionally and employ verbal, written and visual communication strategies
  • Possess uncompromising ethics and an ability to strictly adhere to confidentiality requirements
  • Possess strong research skills especially using a variety of subscription and online resources
  • Possess a working knowledge of spreadsheets, charts, graphs and presentation software
  • Possess demonstrated skill in working with Microsoft office and productivity software

Regional Director for Institutional Relations · Advancement

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Regional Director for Institutional Relations to develop long term relationships built on a firm understanding of each donor’s interest, passions and values for the purpose of soliciting gifts for annual, capital and endowment needs. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Associate Vice President for Development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with an assigned portfolio of approximately 150 to 175 donor prospects
  • Participate in all aspects of the gifts cycle including the identification of major gift prospects
  • Qualify major gift prospects through personal contact and visits
  • Draw prospects into a strong relationship with the University by connecting with their philanthropic interest
  • Create and implement short term, intermediate and long term solicitation plans for all primary donor assignments
  • Maintain stewardship contacts with donors to enhance giving satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with University staff, faculty and leadership to cultivate and steward donor relationships
  • Identify and facilitate strategic opportunities for prospects to interact with University leaders
  • Represent the University at donor, community and alumni events as necessary
  • Document activity according to departmental standards
  • Participate in quarterly dynamic portfolio review
  • Maintain consistent office presence in between travel for the purpose of building community and facilitating effective communication

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Cedarville University graduate preferred
  • Possess three to five years of successful experience in gifts acquisition
  • Possess an ability to work independently while collaborating with other development team members
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to comply with university vehicle use requirements
  • Possess a demonstrated ability to inspire others to take action
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Ability and willingness to travel
