Engineering and Computer Science
The Cedarville University Elmer W. Engstrom Department of Engineering and Computer Science invites applications for a ranked, full-time position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Science, beginning August 2014. Key responsibilities of this position include: teaching undergraduate courses in computer science; advising students; and assisting student design teams. The candidate should have a broad computer science background that includes C++/java programming, operating systems, database, networking, computer security, and software engineering.
The successful candidate must be willing and have the ability to pursue a Ph.D. if a terminal degree is not already held. Completion of an acceptable doctoral degree is required for the position to be tenure-track.
The Elmer W. Engstrom Department of Engineering and Computer Science is housed in a modern facility with extensive state-of-the-art laboratories and offers ABET-accredited degrees in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering.
This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials and other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and credentials. This position is pending budget approval.
Ph.D. preferred but Masters with strong professional experience considered
