The Cedarville University Department of Art, Design and Theatre seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track teaching position in theatre costume and makeup design housed within the University Theatre program, beginning August 2016. This position involves teaching undergraduate costume and makeup design with additionalresponsibilities to include: creating costuming and makeup design for main stage productions; managing and supervising costumes and makeup for mainstage productions; supervising students; and managing and maintaining the University costume collection.
Expectations include overseeing related senior theatre projects; departmental and University committee work; academic advising; and maintaining a relationship with the professional theatre community in the Dayton/Columbus/Cincinnati area.
Qualifications include: an M.F.A. in theatre costume and makeup design; or a bachelor's degree with active pursuit of an M.F.A.. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have college-level teaching experience, have substantial professional experience including costume construction. Applicant must be committed to biblical integration both in-and-out of the classroom. Excellent management and communication skills are expected.

MFA or equivalent
