Position Description:

The Cedarville University School of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position under the area of social and administrative pharmacy. The successful candidate will teach pharmacy administration concepts, including pharmacy management, pharmacoeconomics, and healthcare delivery systems. Development of a research and scholarship program that includes both independent and collaborative research in related areas is expected. The candidate's teaching must involve student-focused methods of active-learning geared primarily toward Doctor of Pharmacy students. The candidate is expected to work with faculty across disciplines to develop integrated curricular content which utilizes innovative strategies in problem-based learning methods.

This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials and other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. This position is pending budget approval.

Position Requirements:

• A terminal, graduate degree is required
• Expertise in the study of economics/pharmacoeconomics, pharmacy administration/business, and/or marketing
• Prior academic appointment or completion of a post-doctoral fellowship, Masters', or Ph.D. in a related area to social and administrative sciences is preferred

Campus Safety Officer, Campus Safety Department

Cedarville University is seeking a Campus Safety Officer for the evening shift to provide for the safety and security of all persons who reside and work on the campus. This is a full-time, twelve-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Campus Safety Evening Sargent and Security Operations Lieutenant.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct proactive vehicular and foot patrols of assigned buildings and grounds.
• Report, investigate and document all safety and security incidents occurring on campus during assigned shift.
• Provide emergency responses to fire, equipment and security alarms, and emergency medical calls
• Respond to reports of maintenance and equipment problems occurring on campus facilities and grounds.
• Investigate reports of lost and found property on campus.  
• Provide parking and traffic enforcement on campus.

Position Requirements:

• One to two years of undergraduate education in Criminal Justice or related field of study; or the equivalent in job experience and specialized training in police, security, fire, safety or emergency medical services.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ohio Police Training Commission private security fire arm certification (20 hour course) or current Ohio Police Officer Certification.
• CPR/AED Certification
• Ability to record pertinent information related to incidents in a short, concise, objective written report.
• Ability to make quick decisions that reflect sound judgment.
• Ability to work in various environmental situations.

College of Professions

Cedarville University is currently seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Inaugural Dean for the new School of Education effective July 1, 2013. The Dean reports to the Associate Academic Vice President of the College of Professions and will assist in the leadership of the College.

Administrative duties include the oversight and direction of an NCATE and ACSI accredited School of 14 faculty and three staff with the support of an Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and an Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs. Bachelor's degrees are offered in Early Childhood Education, Middle Childhood Education, and Multi-Age Licensure programs and graduate programs include a teacher leader M.Ed. and Principal Licensure.
