2016-Spring Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Spin Class with Jenna: (JennaStearns)

Spin class provides a fun, hour-long cardiovascular workout that includes strength, core and stamina training all while riding along to upbeat music. No prior experience necessary: all are encouraged and more than welcome to come!

 Spin with Jamie: (Jamie Huston)

Something for everyone! Intervals, rolling hills, sprints, climbs, surges, and jumps all to music hand-picked to motivate and inspire! This is a great workout if you want to burn calories and increase endurance. 

 Total Body Fitness: (Jamie Huston)

Full Body Fitness - Energetic group workout focusing on strength, cardio, and core all in one session! We use a variety of exercise equipment but most importantly your own body weight to target every major muscle group. Classes start with a brief cardio segment to warm up and then focus on strength and muscle endurance. This is a great way to sculpt your body while having a total blast doing upper body and lower body exercises like curls, shoulder press, pushups, squats, lunges, leg lifts, and floor exercises! Designed for all fitness levels, so come check it out! 

Martial Arts Beginners Class: (Nathan Scarpone)

Students in this class will learn how to use the tools they have to defend themselves and gain confidence. Cardio and flexibility will be emphasized.

Martial Arts Intermediate Class: (Nathan Scarpone)
Students with previous experience will work to sharpen their abilities and share their own knowledge with the rest of the class. Students in this class may give suggestions on what we focus on from week to week.

ZUMBA: (Justine Kirkey & Annie Evans)

An hour-long workout that feels like a dance party, inspired by worldwide rhythms with a variety of dance styles designed to strengthen every muscle group and burn fat. Shrink everything but your smile! 

 POWER HOUR: (Justine Kirkey) An hour-long workout designed to target different specific muscle groups with every class. Power Hour utilizes a combination of cardio, Tabatha, Pilates, free weights, and party music to keep things challenging, upbeat and fun.

 The Beginner Swing Dance Class is meant to give students the basic building blocks of swing dance. It is an easy and fun way to prepare for social dancing events.

 The Intermediate Swing Dance Class is for those who have attended beginner class and are ready for the next challenge. Students who have a year or two of swing experience may choose to attend this class.

Lunch Time Fitness Class: (Jamie Huston) Lunchtime Fitness—A light lunchtime workout for ladies involving stretching, strength training, and core workouts. Using dumbbells, medicine balls, and other exercise equipment, this workout is designed to get you moving during your lunch hour, WITHOUT getting sweaty! All fitness levels are welcome, so bring your coworkers and come check it out!
