We designed this site to be an aid to smaller career services offices (public and private) across the country. These resources will facilitate their day-to-day operations when short-staffed or when unable to provide available hours in the day to research such topics.
We provide a centralized list of websites that presents beneficial information. This includes major search engines, most likely in specific needs and disciplines, less likely if they are the general, commonly accessed, "for profit" ones. Also included are the Department of Labor web sites and others who provide meaningful employment data and trends.
Cedarville (and others) have also accomplished some major discipline-related research projects that may be of value to career offices.
Professionals in several national or state consortia have their contact information listed and have agreed upon collaborative efforts (such as the Reciprocity statement) – a valuable resource for those new to our profession. Several of the initial contact lists will be for CCCU (Council for Christian Colleges and Universities), OFIC (Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges), and SOCHE (Southwest Ohio Council for Higher Education).
