SUBJECT: Next Year's Costs
Last week the Board of Trustees approved the operating budget and tuition, room, and board rates for 2012–13. I am sharing this information with you as soon as possible to assist you in budgeting for next year.
Our commitment to you as a student is to use resources in ways that add value to your degree and increase the quality of your academic experience. As I announced in chapel on Monday, residence hall updates, Chuck's renovation, the construction of new townhomes, classroom facility renovations (like Fine Arts), scholarship increases, new academic programs and faculty, and most notably, completion of the Health Sciences Center by this summer are just a few examples of how the 2012–13 cost increase will be used to benefit students.
Overall, next year's costs will increase approximately 4.7%. Block tuition will go from $12,200 to $12,748 per semester. The new hourly rate (for fourth-year students who pay by the hour) will be $780. After remaining virtually unchanged for 10+ years, our room rate will increase by $114 per semester. You'll find the update 2012–13 costs at cedarville.edu/costs.
