Book Review: Margin

January 1, 0001

MarginWe live in a hurried society – one where we feel there is never enough time to do the things we want to do. Richard Swenson presents a strong case for being deliberate to carve out space or what he calls “Margin” in your life. He points out that if we are always maxed out with things to do and a packed schedule, we will never have the time to respond to real needs that are presented to us in our daily lives. Dr. Swenson advocates strongly that we must build in margin or time that is free so we are able to do things that the Lord lays on our heart.

The book is especially helpful and also convicting – because it points out a growing problem in our society today. And, as people in the work environment will be expected to do more and more with less and less, this book becomes even more timely. I would encourage you to listen as well to two addresses Dr. Swenson presented in chapel at Cedarville University. You can go to thepath.fm and search for Richard Swenson to purchase it for a minimal fee.
