Educational media directors from across southwestern Ohio converged on Cedarville University for the SOCHE Media Directors Data/Video Projector Shootout on Thursday, Dec. 14.
Besides watching a "video/data projector shoot-out," approximately 100 media directors from middle schools to universities interacted with representatives from Sony, Sharp, Sanyo, Eiki, and Panasonic in the Stevens Student Center. Representatives introduced and demonstrated their latest technologies, while sharing their companies' visions for the future of projection technology and digital photography. Highlights included monitors, digital cameras, AVIO non-linear video editing systems, and Totevision portable VCR and LCD products.
The event was sponsored by the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE), B&J Photo, and Centennial Library Services of Cedarville University.
SOCHE is a not-for-profit consortium of 19 colleges and universities organized to promote service, inter-institutional cooperation, and collaboration. Member schools are:
