Cedarville, Ohio- Cedarville University will host education majors from five local universities and representatives from more than two dozen school districts at a public school career fair Tuesday, April 24.
"Our purpose is to bring together area teacher candidates not only from Cedarville, but also from Central State University, Wilberforce University, Wittenberg University, and Wilmington College to provide a time for information gathering and interviewing with public schools," said Lew Gibbs, Cedarville's director of career services. "We are combining our resources with those of our neighboring colleges and universities to create greater opportunities for the students and the school districts. We believe this joint effort will benefit not only students from each of the schools, but the school systems throughout the area," Gibbs said.
Schools registered for the event include many from as close Dayton, Springfield, and Xenia, Ohio and from as far as New Baltimore, Mich. For more information, visit the Career Fair Web site at www.cedarville.edu/dept/cpp/upcomingcareerlink.htm#camp.
