Guest Artist Focus of Cedarville University Jazz Concert

Matt James, professor of saxophone at Ohio University, will be the guest artist for the Cedarville University Jazz Band Winter Concert, Friday, Feb. 2. Free and open to the public, the concert begins at 8 p.m. in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center. James, a veteran of the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Phil Collins Big Band, attended the University of North Texas, where he was the lead alto sax in the prestigious 1 O’Clock Band. He joins the 20-member Cedarville University Jazz Band in an evening of energetic charts from all eras of jazz. “This is one concert you will not want to miss,” emphasized Jazz Band Director Mike DiCuirci.
