Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University will host the Miami Valley Awana Olympics Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m. in the Athletic Center on the Cedarville campus. Eight hundred K-6 children from churches in Clark, Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Montgomery, and Warren counties are expected to attend.
The Awana clubbers will take part in running races, balloon games, tug of war, relays, and other games. Kindergarten-2nd grade activities begin at 10 a.m.; 3rd-6th grade games begin at 1 p.m.
Awana is an international, Bible-centered youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs for pre-schoolers through high schoolers. The organization’s activities include fun and competitive games, a message that focuses on the gospel and applying God’s Word to daily life, memorizing Bible verses, singing, and earning awards.
