Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University’s Tau Delta Kappa (TDK) honors organization and College Republicans club will hold a forum on Christianity and the military on Monday, Feb. 25 from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. in the Stevens Student Center Theater on the Cedarville campus.
The forum will discuss the Christian’s responsibility to the government as it relates to the military and warfare. “We’d like to explore different positions that believers have on these issues, and how they live those beliefs out,” TDK President Kimberly Eridon said.
Guest panelists for this forum are: Dr. Sharon Johnson, professor of management, director of graduate programs, and director of institutional research at Cedarville University; Jim Lamborn, adjunct faculty member in history at Cedarville University; Dr. J. Denny Weaver, professor of religion, chair of the department of history and religion, and the Harry and Jean Yoder Scholar in Bible and Religion at Bluffton College; and Dr. Dan Wessner, assistant professor of history and international studies at Bluffton College.
In the first hour of the forum, the panelists will respond to prepared questions, and the panelists will debate the issues. In the last half hour, the audience will be able to address questions to the panel.
TDK holds “faith and life integration” forums twice a year. “As an organization, we consider it an act of service to hold these forums to help people think about what they believe and how they live,” Eridon explained.
Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information, please contact Eridon at 937-766-4417 or at email@example.com.
