GARBC National Rep to Speak at Cedarville Day of Prayer

Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University will welcome John Greening, national representative of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC), as its guest speaker for the Fall Day of Prayer. Greening will speak on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 9:30 a.m. and Thursday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville campus. An eighth generation Baptist preacher, Greening pastored for more than 20 years before being selected to serve as the national representative of GARBC. Greening`s pastorates included Southgate Baptist Church in Springfield, where he served from 1978-1991. Along with his extensive speaking schedule, Greening authors monthly magazine articles, Sunday school curriculum, Bible studies, and teacher training resources. He serves on the board of Baptist Bible College and Seminary (Pennsylvania) and is completing his doctor of ministries program at Baptist Bible Seminary. Greening and his wife, Daria, conduct training seminars for pastors and wives. The Greenings have two children: Scott, who is currently in seminary, and Andrea, who is a senior at Cedarville University. Day of Prayer is a biannual event at Cedarville University and includes a special chapel service and student-led prayer events throughout the day.
