Cedarville, OhioDeborah Haffey, associate professor of communication arts at Cedarville University, recently completed her Ph.D. studies at The Ohio State University by successfully defending her dissertation, "A Framing Analysis of the Ohio School Voucher Issue."
Haffey believes her doctoral studies will help her in her duties as professor of communication arts and advisor to the Miriam Maddox Forum, an honorary alumni society of the department of communication arts. Haffey will bring advanced knowledge of rhetoric and media studies to her teaching.
Pursing a doctorate has been a life-long goal for Haffey. She said she learned from experience that "God faithfully and dramatically sustains us in those things He calls us to do."
In addition to her doctoral degree, Haffey holds a B.A. from Cedarville and a M.A. from The Ohio State University. She resides in Cedarville with her husband, David.
