Cedarville, Ohio—Themes extracted from nature are the focus of Terry Chamberlain’s exhibit “Botanica,” which will begin with an opening reception Sunday, May 5 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Stevens Student Center on the campus of Cedarville University. “Botanica” will be on display in the Center through June 1.
Chamberlain, who is professor of art at Cedarville University, noted that his group of paintings and drawings of botanical forms are “form inventions—transformations of earth, organic form, and movement.” He explained, “I am not putting a mirror to nature, rather I am filtering nature through my feelings and through my deep appreciation of and response to the beauty and diversity I find in creation.”
Chamberlain resides in Kettering.
Admission is free. For more information, call 937-766-7728.
