Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University will present Steel Magnolias Feb. 7-9 and 14-16 in the Stevens Student Center theater on the Cedarville campus. Performances begin at 8 p.m. each night with a 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 16. An award-winning off-Broadway hit and popular motion picture, Steel Magnolias is a tale of six Southern women who gather regularly at Truvy’s Beauty Salon for much more than a hairstyle. Strong bonds of friendship form, allowing the women to face the laughter and tears of life together. The story is based on the real-life experience of the playwright, Robert Harling, in memory of his sister. The play is directed by Rebecca Baker, assistant professor of communication arts. Tickets are $11 for adults and $7 for students; there is a $1 discount if paying by cash or check. Tickets go on sale Jan. 22. Call 937-766-4491 for more information.
