CU Piano Ensemble to Premiere Local Man's Composition

Cedarville, Ohio— The Cedarville University Piano Ensemble will give a premiere performance of "Night Music," an original composition by Dr. John Mortensen, on Tuesday, April 29. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville campus. Mortensen, a Cedarville resident, is an associate professor of piano at Cedarville University. He directs the University`s piano ensemble and is an accomplished concert artist, maintaining a full concert schedule in many different venues. "Night Music" is scored for two pianos and percussion ensemble. The piece consists of six movements: Evocation, Nocturne, Celestial Choreography, Lunar Eclipse, Nightmare, and Morning by Morning.
