Cedarville University Symphonic Band to Present Concert

Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University will present its symphonic band in concert on Friday, March 14. Held in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center, the concert will begin at 7 p.m. The 90-member symphonic band will perform "American Overture" by Joseph Jenkins, "Colors" (featuring the percussion section) by Loris Chobanian, "Variations on America" by Charles Ives, "Second Suite in F Major" by Gustav Holst, "Palo Alto" (featuring senior saxophonist LeeAnn Senseney) by Lennie Niehaus, and "Pathfinder of Panama" by John Philip Sousa. The symphonic band is under the direction of Mike DiCuirci, professor of music. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information, call 937-766-7728. -30-
